Make Learning Sparkle
Ready-to-use worksheets and playful learning pages for curious kids ages 2–10.
Kid Sparkles is a home for real activities for little learners, tested on real kids, explained simply enough that parents, guardians, and teachers can do the activities with children. You will find here printables of worksheets, colorings, and activity ideas, and a true reflection of a mother’s journey.
I am Angie, the mother and the writer behind Kid Sparkles and Woolshie (Crochet). These are my personal projects where I share my love for teaching and crochet, arts, and crafts.

I’m a former kindergarten teacher and mom, and Kid Sparkles is where those two worlds meet — years of classroom experience, and the everyday, unscripted play I get to do at home. I also have a space for my crochet, called Woolshie. Both Kid Sparkles and Woolshie reflect as my journal and a personal project that I want to share.
My path to Kid Sparkles
Before nap schedules and toddler snacks, I spent my days planning activities for a room full of four- and five-year-olds. I learned early on that the best learning rarely looks like “learning” at all — it’s a colour sorting game with pom-poms, a snowman waiting to be “fed,” a coloring page that quietly teaches letters and shapes along the way.
Then I became a mom myself, and my classroom shrank down to our living room floor. Suddenly I was testing all those same ideas on an audience of one — figuring out which activities actually hold a toddler’s attention, which ones survive a rainy afternoon, and which ones are worth the mess.
Kid Sparkles grew out of that overlap: the activities I once planned for a classroom, and the ones I now build around one small, curious person.
Why Kid Sparkles exists
I started this site because I kept wishing I had one place to keep all these ideas — the kind a parent could open at 8am with a bored toddler and a cup of coffee, and find something simple to do in the next two minutes. No special training required, no expensive materials, just activities that work.
Kid Sparkles is my attempt to hand that over: real activities for little learners, tested on real kids, explained simply enough that anyone can do them.
